You don’t need store bought canned cranberry sauce anymore. Making your own cranberry sauce is quick and easy. Plus, you can make it 2-3 days in advance to lighten you cooking duties on Thanksgiving day! Obviously due to the sugar content, it should be used as a condiment. My recipe is below, feel free to modify as you like.
24 oz fresh cranberries
2 pints of blueberries
2 cups of fresh pomegranate juice
2 Tablespoons freshly grated ginger
2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups (or less) of Trader Joe’s organic coconut sugar.
Boil down for 15 minutes until cranberries pop, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Then cool and store in the refrigerator.
